Tecfarm Engineering is a family owned company situated at Bruce Rock in the Central Wheatbelt of Western Australia, right in the middle of one of the largest and most innovative grain growing areas in the world. Our team is a highly motivated, flexible unit operating in a well equipped modern workshop.
The business is b
ased on Agricultural Design Engineering. Our main focus is to provide the best possible options for weed seed control at harvest as chemical resistance becomes an increasing problem in our cropping systems. Lower capital cost and comparatively low maintenance of Chaff Carts mean that they have been our main focus and will remain an important option as a non chemical tool. Tecfarm designers are working actively on other significant projects to do with weed seed control and also crop residue as a resource.
Starting with the benefit of long-term farming experience, every design that goes to production is first drawn on our powerful CAD programme then crafted to be efficient in operation with strength to last the distance year after year.
Tecfarm has “in house” computer programming and electronics design skills enabling innovative technical solutions such as our Chaff Cart’s Touch Screen Controller with its’ inbuilt capability for “one touch” dumping control and monitoring of key functions.
There is a strong focus on staying in touch with owners so use of an aircraft in the business allows efficient travel to all parts of the WA cropping area and beyond. The company is big enough to get the job done and small enough to be flexible when required.
